About the Photographer

HI! I am Lacey. I love dogs, Tacos, and being stuck behind my camera! 

If I ever need an escape from my daily activity I tend to grab my camera and head out to camp in the mountains,w hich is why my home base is Denver, CO. I also have another home where I spoil my niece and nephew in Madison, WI. You won't catch me there too long in the winter months though! 

I am a Denver/Madison portrait photographer, and I have been a professional photographer for 14+ years. My favorite thing to capture is people and their precious moments. I love telling everyone’s story through my photography.

I have had the privilege to shoot many wonderful events and wonderful people. Whether I am shooting portraits in Madison or a proposal in Colorado, I have experienced all different kinds of lighting, locations, and backdrops. I have the knowledge to perfect your vision for the best picture.

Two of the photographers that I look up to most are Ansel Adams and Annie Leibovitz. Both use the natural environments and light surrounding them to keep their photographs more natural. My main style is very similar, since I love being in nature. I like natural portraits, because they speak to me like I know the person I am photographing. 

Traveling is one of my favorite things and I love to capture moments around the world. The farthest I have traveled is Australia and New Zealand. Getting lost in a new city challenges me as a person and as a photographer. I think my favorite things in a new city are unique coffee shops and breweries. I think in the most recent years I have dove more into the food scene, but I am a bit of picky eater. I get challenged by eating, but I’m learning to try more in the food scene. 

I tend to love to hike and see more than just the city and what it has to offer. Get me in nature and you will see another side of me!

I TRULY BELIEVE THAT NO ADVENTURE IS TOO FAR AND NO IDEA IS TOO BIG. I’M UP FOR IT ALL.

I love getting lost in a book, and being taken to another world. Thrillers are my main go to because I love trying to figure out the ending before it happens. I am in two book clubs, and trying to read/listen to 150 books by the end of 2023. I mainly listen, because I am constantly in the car or not sitting still enough to focus on a book.

My favorite travel buddy is my puppy, Lana Jo. She has been to 10 states with me, and hope to bring her on more adventures and travels. One of my goals to visit all 50 states by the time I am 40, which is not far away.
